It Cooling With Minimal Power Consumption
Consumption has a considerable share of cooling with conventional technologies. This is exactly where the cooling systems from FAHRENHEIT start. Because computer power is converted into waste heat – and the adsorption technology uses instead of expensive electrical energy exactly this already existing heat energy for cooling.
Also possible: the drive through efficient external heat sources, such as a combined heat and power plant (see variants 1 and 2). For operators of data centers and Server rooms thus result in considerable potential savings. In parallel with the electricity costs, CO2 emissions are also reduced – and the refrigerant used is nothing but pure, harmless water.

It is particularly energy-efficient to use the waste heat from the cores themselves for cooling. This variant is particularly suitable for water-cooled systems.

CHP: Sparkasse Passau


Sustainable energy savings with FAHRENHEIT and Sparkasse Passau.

Sparkasse Passau relies on the ecological handling of environmental and energy resources and therefore uses a combined heat and power plant plus environment-friendly cooling systems from FAHRENHEIT. The CHP provides 50kW of electrical power and 85.0kW of thermal power in a very compact CHP, just 1.7sqm of floor space, and powered by environmentally friendly gas.

In times of low-interest rates, as the responsible project manager explained, investing in energy and cost-saving technology is an even smarter investment.

A simple idea, because the power generation works with simultaneous heat dissipation and heat consumption. Good in winter, but also beneficial in summer. Then the generated heat of the CHP is converted with an adsorption chiller of FAHRENHEIT into cold, the u. a. the room air conditioning over the existing ventilation system is used.

The advantage of the new adsorption chiller is the high electrical efficiency with a cooling capacity of more than 40 kW!

This not only benefits Sparkasse Passau with a significant reduction of its electricity consumption for cooling by almost 60%, but also the climate in the city.
