Cool and smart

In order to be able to continue to operate their refrigeration systems without F-gases, which are increasingly being taken off the market, more and more supermarkets and other cooling system operators are turning to CO2 systems.

The waste heat from transcritical CO2 chillers has exactly the right temperature level to drive adsorption cooling. FAHRENHEIT took this opportunity to develop an adsorption unit that can be integrated directly into the CO2 refrigeration cycle in order to reduce the recooling temperature level, therefore saving significant amounts of electricity.

In supermarkets, where these chillers run 24/7, the investment in an additional adsorption unit is quickly paid off through the money saved on electricity bills.
