For oeding, the issue of sustainability is the foundation for future viability. Through the consistent use of tested and available technologies, oeding print created an efficient production and management building that meets all the criteria for a modern production facility and complies with the high demands regarding resource efficiency and operating cost optimization at the same time.<br><br>
Responsibility towards the environment and fellow human beings is also very important to the printing company. Accordingly, the company wanted to develop an energy concept that limits greenhouse gas emissions and further environmental damage and that uses resources in an environmentally-friendly way.

The result is impressive: An eco-building with movement sensors to optimize the lighting and heating and which produces the energy needed to heat and operate it itself. This solution is based on the three key pillars: Energy efficiency, energy recycling and energy generation. Hidden behind these three simple points are an extensive amount of measures that use the most modern technologies and procedures.

For an effective energy recycling, oeding print uses technologies such as waste heat recovery from production processes, compressed air generation and combined heat and power generation, and they also store the generated waste heat in high and low-temperature tanks. This is then used to heat storage and sluice areas, to cool the IT centre or to heat water.

The renewable energy is generated with a photovoltaic system, a combined heat and power generation with the building’s own cogeneration plant, as well as an adsorption chiller from FAHRENHEIT.
