SOLAR COOLING: GERMAN PATENT OFFICE MUNICH

2011

Future-oriented adsorption technology for the German Patent Office Munich. In 2011, a geothermal system coupled with solar energy generation was technically and optically integrated into the monument-protected building in flat roof construction during the remedial and energetic refurbishment of the DPMA in Munich.

FAHRENHEIT has been entrusted with using solar heat through four highly efficient and energy-efficient adsorption systems for building cooling during the summer months. Thanks to the combined use of geothermal energy and solar energy, 60% of the energy demand in the main building of the DPMA in Munich will be covered by renewable energy.
