ADSORPTION COOLING: SIMPLY
INGENIOUS—INGENIOUSLY SIMPLE

Adsorption is the deposition of gases or liquids on the surface of a solid. This bond is purely physical and can be dissolved again as often as required (desorption).

In the case of FAHRENHEIT’s adsorption cooling technology, the gas is water vapor—and the surface of the solid is coated with zeolite or silica gel. The special feature of these materials: They are very porous and therefore have an extraordinarily large inner surface. They can “absorb” many water molecules like an extremely effective sponge.

The FAHRENHEIT cooling systems are also equipped with a vacuum. The water evaporates at much lower temperatures than would be possible under normal pressure conditions Due to the accumulation of water molecules on the adsorber, the water evaporates and cools down. The cooling medium is then cooled via a heat exchanger.

PERFECT INTERACTION

The adsorption technology is integrated into the respective system environment by means of three hydraulic circuits.

THE MOST MODERN CONTROL: FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE IN ALL
CONDITIONS

All FAHRENHEIT chillers are equipped with a modern, programmable controller. As a rule, these are the particularly powerful Siemens Climatix controllers.

In this way, the energy efficiency, performance and cost-effectiveness of our refrigeration units can be further increased – for example, through efficiency-optimized operation or flexible adaptation to the respective heat source. An additional increase in efficiency is ensured, among other things, by the automatic free cooling. This also makes cold outside temperatures available for cooling.

Last, but not least, the controller allows a very simple and user-friendly operation of the refrigeration system. So she can e.g. be easily connected to all interfaces in building management or the process control center.
